June 18, 2010: FAMILY STAGE WORK: Jeremy's wife Sinéad Cusack is set to star in Crocodile, a play which will air on Sky Arts Playhouse Live this month. According to the Holidays 4 Heroes website, their charity "gives the wounded, their families and the bereaved a well deserved break from the stresses of recovery by providing short holiday breaks." June 1, 2010: CHARITY UPDATE: On the 26th of May we started a "signature drive" for 1billionhungry.org. Here are our results so far: 23 Friends (signatures), 1 Friends of Friends, 215 Rank (Global), 11 Rank (Country). Although the 1billionhungry.org site has over 100,000 signatures now, somehow I think we can do better than this. We have well over 300 hits a day at jeremyirons.org, so we should have far more than 23 signatures. Please send your friends and family the link for our JeremyIrons.Org Impact Group and encourage them to sign the petition to help stop chronic hunger. Thank you!

May 25, 2010: UPCOMING EVENT: Jeremy Irons will be awarded with the Ischia Legend Award in Sant'Angelo, Italy during the 8th Ischia Global Film & Music Fest on 13 July 2010. Jeremy will receive this honor from Billie August who directed Jeremy in The House of the Spirits. Other film stars previously honored with this award are Sir Ben Kinglsey, Dennis Hopper, Vanessa Redgrave, Hilary Swank, Murray Abraham, Giancarlo Giannini and Stefania Sandrelli. May 23, 2010: UPCOMING EVENT: Jeremy Irons will be in Rome on May 25, 2010, to meet his fans at the Auditorium Parco della Musica (Sala Petrassi) at the International Rome Film Festival where he will talk with fans and the hosts of "A Journey through American Cinema." This event was previously scheduled for April 18th, but was canceled due to the disruption of flights in the UK caused by ash plumes across Europe from the volcanic eruption in Iceland. I did see the play on Friday evening and I would love to write a review of it, but I am far too sleep deprived to write anything coherent at the moment.
